On November 29th one of Sri Lanka’s iconic animals, Galgamuwa’s Crossed Tusker elephant’s carcass was discovered after being missing for the last few months. The elephant is a 50-year-old blind tusker that roamed around Sri Lanka’s national reserves. Poachers had brutally murdered the elephant for its tusks.
Sri Lanka is indigenous to an abundant number of rare animals, from elephants to tropical birds to leopards; making it an ideal country for poachers. Poaching is a deadly crime against wildlife as it annihilates entire species all for the possession of their skin or body part.
“Each vial is a life”. This is the core belief of Navesta. As a company that specialises in antibiotics, bringing awareness on how to utilise the drug responsibly is imperative. Antibiotic resistance is one of the world’s most dire public health issues as antibiotics are heavily relied on in medical practices to cure simple infections as well as utilised in surgical procedures.
Antibiotics revolutionised medicine and have saved millions of lives, even extending the average life expectancy significantly since its discovery.
